Jaaja's core is a creative japanese duo/couple made of Kumino and Yuichi.
They like to try various forms of expression like painting, writing, drawing.
They also make animation movies, masks, dolls, brooches and diverse original
handcraft...
But their main mode of expression is probably music!
When combined with their friends sharing the same interest in handcrafting and music
they become the "Jaaja band".
The composition of the group has changed over years but its spirit remains the same.
While their music is inspired by eastern Europe folklore and child's songs
the simple but poetic lyrics are sung in Japanese which makes it difficult to label them with anything else more precise than "world music".
They compose, record, illustrate, produce and release their music independently.
